But IT is evolving rapidly. The goal of the DC Department is to nurture human resources who can use digital tools as communication tools. In the DC Department, students will first understand the \"behind the scenes\" (structure) of websites and SNS, and learn what kind of information \"reaches\" a wide audience through these tools. The Department of Digital Communication is not simply a department for acquiring digital skills. Students learn how to utilize the characteristics of digital technology as a communication tool.<br>\n  In the course \"Diversity Communication,\" which I supervise, students learn how to communicate in a way that takes diversity and inclusion into consideration, questioning the conventional majority-centered society. In today's world, entering society without this D&amp;I awareness can be a major risk.<br>\n  In addition, in the class \"SNS Research through Cutting-edge Case Studies,\" students will consider how to utilize SNS, which you are familiar with, for business. I am a product manager for iOS app development at Rakuten TV, a video streaming service. My job is to determine what features should be added to the app in the future and how it should be improved. After graduating from Kanda Institute of Foreign Languages, I worked for domestic and international companies engaged in digital content distribution before joining Rakuten Group in 2020. In my current job, which has a marketing component, knowledge of data analysis and analysis is essential. I learned while being taught by my seniors in the field, but if you are going to work in the IT industry, I think it will be an advantage to acquire the knowledge to handle quantitative and qualitative data while you are still a student.<br>The product manager is like a hub that facilitates coordination with engineers and requires good communication skills. There are many foreign nationals on the team, and communication is in English. I obtained a TOEIC\u00ae score of 920 when I was a student, but I sometimes feel that I am not strong enough in the business aspect. However, I can say that what I learned as a student was worthwhile in terms of developing my base English skills.
