Students will hone their Vietnamese communication skills and deepen their understanding of Vietnamese culture. Students will also conduct field research on a research theme that they have decided on prior to their study abroad.\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/p>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<p class=\"attention\">\n  *In addition to tuition, approximately 400,000-500,000 yen is required for training expenses (travel, accommodation, insurance, etc.). I decided to go to Kanda Institute of Languages because of its excellent reputation for multilingualism. Vietnamese is a minor language, but the country itself is experiencing rapid economic development, and many Japanese companies have established operations there. I thought that if I could speak three languages (Japanese, English, and Vietnamese), I would have no trouble finding a job, so I decided to give it a try even though I was a complete beginner. The classes start with basic pronunciation practice and progress step-by-step through self-introductions, speeches, and daily conversation, so I was able to grow steadily with my classmates. In addition to learning about culture, history, and entertainment, the teacher sometimes cooked Vietnamese food for us, which allowed us to learn about the country of Vietnam from many different aspects. My English skills were also steadily improved, and my TOEIC\u00ae score, which was around 560 when I first enrolled, went up by more than 150 points in three months. Thanks to the EIC, where students are expected to speak up and participate actively, rather than just sit behind a desk, I was able to study English while having fun. After graduation, I will work for a trading company recommended by a teacher at the Career Education Center. I studied Vietnamese and English at the University of Hanoi while living in a dormitory with students from other countries. I became good friends with students from a local Japanese language study group, and we taught each other our native languages. On holidays, we went to the movies together and ate at recommended restaurants. The conversations I had with my friends in a foreign country definitely helped me improve my language skills. Some of these friends are now in Japan as international students. The other day, I met one of them and showed him around Odaiba. We still have a relationship where we teach each other our native languages.<br>After graduation, I was able to become a police officer, which had been my dream since childhood. I am currently working at a police box in the Togane Police Station of the Chiba Prefectural Police Department. There are many residents from overseas who are not fluent in Japanese, and English is useful in communicating with them. Of course, I speak Vietnamese with Vietnamese people. It is easier for people to open up to me when I speak to them in their native language. Just recently, I was registered as a designated interpreter for Vietnamese. I am requested to interpret for foreigners when the police officers on the scene are not able to respond to them alone. I would like to continue my studies and grow further both as a police officer and as an interpreter. I will use the language skills I have developed at Kanda Institute of Languages to protect the safety and security of the people of the
